Case Study - St Brides Major, Bridgend
The house in question was a self build project for a local property developer. It consisted of four bedrooms, three reception rooms, study, conservatory and a huge attic room.
The clients needs included audio in the main rooms, tv
distribution around the home, broadband and network services, lighting control and security.
The audio system installed allowed the client to listen to six different audio sources throughout the home. Discreet in-ceiling speakers were fitted in each room as well as keypads that allowed control of volume and audio source.
In the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, second bedroom and attic room these had LCD Keypads which allowed the clients to view their music collection stored on a music server. The LCD keypads shows the clients the album names and tracks that were stored on the music server.
Dedicated scart cable and high definition cable were installed into the main TV viewing areas of the house so that the client could have the best possible video signals to their main TV’s.
A Tilevison TV was also installed into the master bedroom en-suite to allow the clients the luxury of watching TV whilst in the bath.
A home entertainment network was also put in to allow the other rooms in the house the benefit of viewing and changing the channel of their Skybox and viewing and controlling their DVD player which was located under their stairs, it also gave the client the option of having Freeview and analogue TV. The network also allowed the distribution of broadband to a number of PC’s dotted around the house as well as networking the clients PC’s with the music server to allow them to download tracks from the internet and have instant access to them on the LCD keypads.
Mood lighting was installed in various rooms as well as a security system.
